Also from my engineering teaching experience I have seen that as most of the second P.U.C students prepare for their exams to score marks to enter the Engineering stream.They just do this by memorizing or repeatedly solving the problems or question papers without understanding the basic concepts lying underneath..Even the coaching centers and tuitions encourage such practices...

These students later become the first year engineering students..

It is seen that Maths and physics receive the the greatest attention during the first year of engineering ..Lecturers in engineering colleges assume that the students know everything..but the truth is that they mite know the basics but they fail to apply them correctly.That is their minds are programmed in such a way as to think in only one direction or methods of problem solving..But  applied mathematics and engineering needs diversified and a high analytical thinking...In my classes I find students fail to apply even the simplest mathematical operations like factorisations,L.C.M,partial fractions..and a very wrong approach to solving problems in trignometry and integral and differential calculus..

In this regards ..On special request by the parents Iam  taking personal classes or short crash courses classes for students appearing for their second p.u exams  and also for students who think they need to make their basics right before joining the engineering stream..
